Towards the end of the broadcast, former President Donald Trump’s election ad was broadcast on NBC. NASCAR’s Xfinity 500 Sunday night at Martinsville Speedway.

Trump was seen wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat as he told viewers that the election of Vice President Kamala Harris would usher in a new “depression.” He also told viewers to get out and vote with just a few hours left before Election Day comes and goes.

The Republican presidential candidate’s appearance appears to be linked to Harris’ surprise appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” according to multiple reports.

The uproar over her appearance and whether Trump would spend time off some NBC broadcasts was the talk of the day Sunday.

The Federal Communications Commission’s equal time rule was established in 1934 and requires radio and television broadcast stations to provide equal time to competing political candidates. There are exceptions to the rule, such as news programs, documentaries and political debates.
