Glendale church needs help finding stolen equipment

A church in the Valley is praying for help after its equipment was stolen.

The theft took place on October 26. 75th Street and Union Hills Driveand this situation was caught on camera.

Table Church It operates out of Arrowhead Elementary School, and lead pastor Cody Deevers says the value of the stolen equipment is over $45,000.

Security footage shows the theft took place between 21:00 and 22:00

The video shows an SUV pulling into the parking lot and a few minutes later someone else drives off with the church truck.

Deevers said he believes the thieves came earlier in the week, on Oct. 22, to check security around the equipment.

Not only were the truck and trailer taken, but most of the church furniture they placed at Arrowhead Elementary School was also inside the stolen trailer.

“All our chairs, all our shelving, all the furniture we made for the check-in desks in our lobby and other things,” the pastor said.

Deevers says despite the great loss, the church has been able to adapt. While the church continues with a positive mindset, it also wants its equipment to be returned as soon as possible.

“It didn’t stop us that day. I mean, the church has been through much worse and that wasn’t going to stop us, so we came back,” Deevers said.

He says his faith has helped him find peace as the investigation continues to find the thieves.

“The message is still ‘Jesus saves.’ “I even pray for Jesus to save these thieves,” Deevers said. May he forgive them. “We forgive them, but if we have our belongings, bring them back,” he said.
