Trump does not rule out banning vaccines if he becomes president

Former President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. would have “a huge role in the administration” if he wins, and told NBC News in a phone interview that he was open to some of his more controversial ideas.

Kennedy, who ran for president as an independent this year before withdrawing his bid and supporting Trump, has long spread conspiracies and lies about vaccines and other public health issues. For example, often claimed HE Vaccines are linked to autismAlthough decades of studies have disproved this theory.

Asked Sunday whether banning certain vaccines might be an option in his second term, the former president did not rule it out.

“I’m going to talk to Kennedy and I’m going to talk to other people and I’m going to make a decision, but he’s a very capable man and he has strong views,” Trump said.

Trump has declined to talk about specific roles Kennedy might play in his administration, but in recent public statements Trump has made clear that he envisions a major role for her.

“He can do anything he wants,” Trump said at an event in Arizona on Thursday.

Major public health groups support water fluoridationHealth groups also emphasize that the application is safe.

There is a Trump team embraced Kennedy and some of his more recent extreme views.

Last week, Howard Lutnick, co-chairman of the Trump transition team, praised Kennedy and questioned whether the vaccines were “good.”

Last week, in an episode of the “Joe Rogan Experience” program, Trump’s running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, also talked about his own experience with the Covid vaccine and said: skepticism about this.
