Actor Vijay’s party TVK opposes One Nation One Election and accepts resolution – Tamil Nadu News

Tamil actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) passed a resolution opposing the Centre’s ‘One Nation One Election’ proposal in its executive council meeting on Sunday.

The party also passed a resolution demanding withdrawal of National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) from Tamil Nadu.

He slammed the DMK government for not conducting caste survey in the state and blamed the Center for the same.

TVK also criticized the DMK led by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and said its poll promise was “full of lies to come to power”.

vijay Held his first political rally in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu On October 27, eight months after he founded his political party in February.

At the rally, he explained his party’s ideology and goals; these included equality, social justice, secularism, the introduction of Tamil as the administrative language in the courts and the abolition of the Governor’s post.

Vijay said his party’s approach stems from both Dravidianism and Tamil nationalism, describing them as the “two eyes of our land”.

Rather than limiting TVK’s identity to a single group, he advocated broader secular values ​​focusing on justice, unity and social growth.

Vijay announced that his party will contest the 2026 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
