General Hospital spoilers say Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) shocking death sends shockwaves through Port Charles.

As viewers know, Sam agreed to be Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havans) liver donor, but insisted that his own half-brother, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), be the surgeon for his portion of the surgery. It’s against hospital policy, but Sam agrees to sign a waiver that will allow Lucas to operate on his family member.

As expected, Part of Sam’s surgery is gone and woke up in recovery having emotional moments with both Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zomprogna) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn).

While Alexis was around Sam, things suddenly took a dangerous turn when Sam suffered a heart attack and died. The hospital performed extensive testing before the surgery to ensure the risks to Sam were minimal. Therefore, at this time, the cause of Sam’s heart attack remains unclear.
