FBI at parsonage linked to Mica Miller investigation

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF/Gray News) – Federal authorities were at the home of a pastor connected to the investigation into the death of his estranged wife.

FBI spokesman Kevin Wheeler confirmed that they conducted an authorized search of John-Paul Miller’s home on Coldwater Circle in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

John-Paul Miller is the pastor of Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach.

Death of John-Paul Miller’s estranged wife Mica Miller gained national attention earlier this year.

Her body was found April 27 at Lumber River State Park in Orrum, North Carolina, after someone reported to 911 that they had found a body in the water.

Earlier that day, a woman called 911 and asked if she had her phone because she was going to kill herself and asked her family to find her body.

During the conversation, the woman hung up the phone and the officer could not contact the woman again.

After it was found, it was determined that the body belonged to Mika Miller.

After the investigation, his death was ruled a suicide.

Investigators found evidence that he had purchased the gun found next to his body that day and had searched nearby parks on Google.

Mica Miller and John-Paul Miller reportedly broke up before her death.

Robeson County investigators confirmed that John Paul Miller was at an athletic event in Charleston the day he died.
