ALCOA, Tenn. (WVLT) – The Alcoa Fire Department, along with the Alcoa Police Department, responded to a fire on Topside Road Thursday afternoon.

The police department issued an announcement asking people to avoid the area while crews worked.

“Due to the fire, Topside Road from Wrights Ferry Road to Central Boulevard is closed,” APD said. “All traffic is reversing”

As of 5:13 p.m., crews were working on a final hot spot and the fire was under control, according to officials.
