Pat Sajak’s wildly surprising reaction to going viral during the World Series

Although the 2024 World Series is in the books, with the Los Angeles Dodgers defeating the New Yankees in Game 5, the iconic event featured many notable celebrity players throughout the five games.

Not only did Pat Sajak sit in the stands for Game 5, but he later trended online for his appearance sitting behind home plate. But after seeing his name floating around, the 78-year-old television personality thought he had gone viral for a very different reason.

Sajak fascinates the audience As the host of Wheel of Fortune for 43 years, he weighed in on the heartwarming X (formerly Twitter) trending trend.

The famous TV star, who announced his retirement from the game show in 2023, tweeted on October 30, 2024: “I thought I was dead. Looks like I’m okay.”

Not only is Sajak still alive, but he continues to work. Although he retired as host of Wheel of Fortune following the completion of its 41st season earlier this year, he continues on the show as a consultant and still hosts Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

Other celebrities spotted at the World Series include Jason Bateman, Ice Cube, Billy Crystal, Jim Harbaugh and many more. They all witnessed Dodgers beat Yankees to become world champion.
