“I was getting to know Bronze early,” Brittany said, explaining that she decided to do allergy testing when Bronze was about 9 months old after learning that their 3-year-old daughter, Sterling, suffered from allergies.

“I was trying different things with Bronze, and it was our first day with hazelnuts, and it’s just like a little packet of powder that you add to his bottle,” he recalled.

“So she took her bottle and after about 30 minutes she became very irritable, very agitated. I took her diaper off and there were just hives and welts everywhere.”

Patrick, also 29, echoed his wife’s sentiments, adding: “I remember how scared I was and how serious it was, and luckily the doctors were able to help us and that’s when it became a serious situation for me that really needed attention.”
