Central Pa., who took her adult daughter to the Capitol riot. man convicted in child sexual abuse case

Father of Mechanicsburg woman accused of stealing Nancy Pelosi’s laptop Found guilty of attacking the US Capitol He faces charges of his own in two cases in Dauphin County.

A Dauphin County jury Tuesday found Rickey Williams, 58, guilty of assaulting and attempting to rape a child in 1994. Williams came forward in April 2021 to report sexual abuse that occurred between the ages of 8 and 18.

This was on top of convictions Tuesday morning in this week’s first hearing, in which a 38-year-old woman accused Williams of harassing her starting in 1994.

The woman said Williams was actually a family friend who touched and tickled her and her sister when they were children when she excused herself to go to the bathroom. As she got older, she said, the touching turned into sexual harassment.

The woman said Williams used to be a park ranger and wore a gun on his belt, and when he got older, he held her down and tried to rape her. He said the attacks continued until he moved out of his parents’ home in his late teens.

The woman stated that she only came forward because her own daughter had been sexually assaulted. “This gave me the courage to come forward,” the woman said.

She reported the harassment less than two weeks after police filed criminal charges against Williams in an unrelated case before a grand jury this week.

In that case, prosecutors accuse Williams of trying to persuade a 14-year-old girl to send him a video showing herself urinating in 2021.

Prosecutors in court on Wednesday showed messages sent between Williams and the girl “Olivia” on the social media app Snapchat, which included a photo of Williams’ buttocks and instructions on how to make sexual videos for her.

“What we talk about is what we talk about. … What we do is what we do,” Williams said. “You have to say my name (in the video recording) so I know it’s really you.”

Little did Williams know, the person on the other end of the messages was a Dauphin County detective posing as a teenage girl.

Her lawyer said Williams thought the 14-year-old was actually her daughter’s ex-boyfriend, Michael Prodanov, and was trying to anger her. Prodanov reported Williams’ daughter to the FBI. He said he stole Pelosi’s laptop during the Capitol riots and wanted to sell it to Russia. Laptop theft-related charges later withdrawn.

According to Crisp, when a 14-year-old girl suddenly added Rickey Williams as a friend on Snapchat in April 2021, Williams thought he was Prodanov. Crisp said Williams tried to get the person to identify himself.

Crisp said Williams was “not very bright” and was not “super sleuth of the year.” “But that’s it.”

Williams faces charges related to the incident, including solicitation of computer child sexual acts, misdemeanor sexual abuse and criminal use of a communication device.

He was released on $25,000 bail, according to court documents. However, following the sexual assault conviction, that conviction was annulled because he texted the victim’s mother and said: “Thank your daughters for lying and ruining my life and marriage.” Williams is in the Dauphin County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Testimony in the Snapchat case is expected to continue through Thursday.

Prodanov obtained a $50,000 default judgment in a defamation case vs. ex-girlfriend Riley June Williams in the New Jersey Supreme Court.
