More than 50 West Michigan artists gather for pop-up charity gallery

GRAND HAVEN, MI – For one night only, an art exhibit will bring together more than 50 West Michigan artists showcasing a wide range of artwork.

The gallery will benefit Grand Haven community nonprofit radio station, 103.5 WAWL.

The event will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Tri-Cities History Museum, hosted by the Lakeshore Visual Arts Collective (LVAC).

The second floor of the historical museum will be transformed into an art gallery filled with jewelers, potters, painters, photographers, fiber artists, multimedia artists, glass artists and many more artists.

“We are excited to host our first pop-up at the historical museum. “It is truly a wonderful venue, a historic mainstay for the city, and a unique space to showcase the work of regional artists,” said LVAC founder and president Maggie Bandstra. “Like all of our pop-up exhibitions, Art at the Museum is a great example of how LVAC brings people together to promote kindness in the region, build a sustainable artist community, and increase opportunities for lakefront art collectors.”

The charity event will also feature live music by local guitarist MacKael LaMore, food by Righteous Cuisine and a cash bar.

The $10 suggested donation at the door and 10% of art sales directly benefit the work of the Tri-Cities Broadcasting Foundation, which operates WAWL radio.

The foundation provides a platform for local musicians, offers internship opportunities for college students studying broadcast arts, and provides a source for local news, sports, and weather.
