BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (WTNH) — Bridgeport police said Tuesday that a New Haven man died from injuries sustained in a shooting last weekend.

Jahseim Cherry, 22, was shot around 11:20 a.m. on Oct. 20 in the 200 block of Goddard Avenue.

When police arrived, they found him with a gunshot wound to the head. He was previously listed in critical condition.

The Bridgeport Detective Agency is leading the investigation and is also securing the crime scene at Cogswell and Rockland Streets.
