Suspect in Christian County elementary school threat found and taken into custody

On Monday night, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Clarksville Police Department took a suspect into custody following a threat against an elementary school in Kentucky.

Jayvis Hall, 38, is accused of violating an Emergency Protective Order (EPO) and is reported to be a potential threat to Southern Christian Elementary School in Herndon, KY.

During the call, authorities arrived at lunch time and took the school’s students and faculty to safety; this included the Hopkinsville Police Department, Hopkinsville Fire Department and Christian County Emergency Management.

After a comprehensive search in and around the school grounds, no threat was detected and no suspects were found.

It wasn’t until the search effort moved off campus that authorities were able to locate Hall and arrest him as a suspect. His charges include allegations of terroristic threats, breach of an EPO/domestic abuse order and false reporting of an incident.
