GRAND FORKS — A Grand Forks man was recently given a suspended prison sentence for driving while intoxicated, causing his motorcycle to crash into a vehicle, with the condition that he complete a chemical abuse evaluation.

There were no injuries.

In addition to being charged with DUI, Power was also ticketed for liability insurance and unqualified operator.

Our newsroom occasionally publishes stories under “staff.” Most often, the signature “staff” is used when rewriting basic news summaries from official sources, such as a city press release about road closures, that require little or no reporting. Sometimes this signature is used when there are many authors in a news story or when the news is created by bringing together previously reported news from various sources. If external sources are used, it is stated in the story.
